We have for twenty years remarked on how could it be possible for a building of such construction be in a place of such nature. Regardless of shag carpets, textured ceilings and the crushed velvet paintings. Regardless of the steel and tar, I shall forever wonder in aw in the "delivery" of theses materials, respect and admire the quality of workmanship, try to picture the times Horst, his family and friends had at this most amazing spot. I shall hope we can do the same.

My main focus over the past two months has been on the demolition. I look forward to returning and calming seeing what we have and what might we do. For permit purposes, and for reasons of an ideal locate, the existing footprint will play very much in the the new cottage. I have told myself that the right thing to do would be to take this big pine down. We might push the floor plan out that way. So how about topping and building around it. A two story coat rack. |
