WHEN- DAY THREE, SECOND STATE, SECOND SKI AREA
WHERE – ANTHONY LAKES SKI AREA, OREGON, U.S.A.
WHY – MANY LOCALS ASKED WHY? WE LOVED IT. THIS PLACE HAD ONE FIXED GRIP CHAIR LIFT AND SOMETHING RESEMBLING A ROPE TOW. IT DREW A CROWD THAT ENJOYED WHAT A TWO-LIFT SKI AREA WAS ALL ABOUT. SKIING!!
WHAT BEST FOOD – END OF THE DAY IN HAILEY IDAHO. BURRITOS CHILE RHELENOS
WHO- HYLA GRAB THE TICKETS. THE GUY IN FRONT OF HER GOT TO SKI FOR FREE. I CAN’T WAIT TILL I’M 73.
We both seemed to be taken by the simplicity of this place. The natural beauty, the views and the just down right friendly crowd. Even with one lift, there never was a line. It seemed that everyone skiing knew each other. We easily started a conversation with our lift mates when they queried us of our ski tour.

We braved some rather cold temperatures.
The chair peaked out at 9,000ft
One of few RV parks that I approve. Snow chasers.
On behalf of the judging panel I am glad to give Anthony Lake Ski Area a maximum rating for proving that when the time is right, minimal works.
COMING NEXT - HITTING THE OREGON TRAIL TO IDAHO. GOING ON OPRAH WATCH.
I grow weary now. Good night
