Here I`m pictured bottom left with our mother and brother John.

The bird in the picture is a Lockheed Constellation that we just flew in from Toronto, Ontario. CANADA.

Here some sixty plus years later I stand by a similar model of aircraft.

Seems like I'm a lot bigger and the planes a lot smaller.

One thing that I clearly remember is stareing out the window at the huge plumes of smoke belching out of the massive turbo props firing up.

(Can you picture stewardesses pushing a cart up and down the isle while carving roast beef to your liking,.....

and as a kid you are invited into the cockpit but can't stand it because the pilots have two cigarettes each going........)

I was fortunate to happen upon an aficionado who explained to us how special this aircraft was to the continuing early development of commercial aviation.
