Hope we are not on the next episode of:
"BORDER SECURITY"
Back in Canada for the Northern portion of our loop.
Salmo, Nelson, Crawford Bay and back down to Creston.
Our first bear after passing through some pretty populated country for the past three weeks.
Well off the road and even then was off like a dart after seeing a couple of (thin)cyclists.
Left turn.
With the "Kootenay Pass" being the shortest route to Creston,
but with a rather significant climb,
we will take full advantage of the amazing weather and take the long way around.
We will camp pretty much downtown Salmo, BC. at the municipal campground.
Nicely convenient to all we need and the town has to offer,
including some current bear activity,
but were told not to worry about it.
Bear necessities.
???
At least we've left "BIG FOOT" behind.
