On the 14th of April I joined a couple of thousand other cyclists in riding the twentieth edition of Canada's Spring Classic, The Paris 2 Ancaster Bicycle Race.
The largest citizens bike race in the nation.
And don't be fooled. Many come for just one reason. To win.
Many, like 1060, come for the fun of surviving the fun.

Trying to get some "Bauer Power" to rub off.
Depart.
Keeping my eyes on the prize. The prize being not to crash out.
The race being pattern off the Paris-Roubaix. The famous "Hell of the North" The European one day classic.
Slip slidin' away.
Slip slidin' away.
The P2A crosses over everything from gravel roads, single track bush trail, farm lanes, paved sections, old rail trails, goat paths, ....
Even a few seasonal creeks as a result of the previous weeks rain.
Most all but the cobbles of Belgium.
When one comes through any given section were hundreds have passed just before, you pay the muddy price.
Like in the pro peleton, best stay in the front of the bunch. Especially if it involves a thousand riders.
The more than one mudslide living up to their reputation.
Here's mud in your eye, nose, mouth, ear, toucie,....
What a great bike True North Hugh put together for me.
For the P2A, I go from my touring to cross trim.
If all this shall becomes to much one day, might just strap on my panniers and make it my personal two day event.
Passed more than a couple of beautiful places where I won't have a problem pitching my tent for the night.
(this way I could finish the ride up Martin rd.(the vicious climb to the finish) in my own pain and quiet.)

Rode the last couple of meters patiently. Then sprinted once across the line.
Had places to go.
Looking much to clean for this apres photo. Didn't lay her down today.
