Silverton, terminus of the popular summertime Durango Train and hometown of the local extreme ski hill yet to open will offer us a couple of quiet, yet fun days and nights.
Enjoying some wild west at the historic Bent Elbow.
We enjoyed the current "locals only" vibe.
We gambled on coming here and won.
Just out of town is one of North America's most unique skiing opportunities.
All thrills, no frills
The restored historic train that we will experience later apparently brings upwards of two hundred thousand to this town thru the summer.
I'd be quiet and resting if I had to prepare for that.
After a nice rest we're on the move to
"PURGATORY"
