MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK, COLORADO, USA

December 8, 2015

After our visit to Purgatory, we will end up spending four nights in Durango.

Our first day will see us head a hour out of town to see this rather impressive historical site.

I was quite concerned at first thinking that this guy, who turned out to be the Park Ranger, was pointing out the hotel we booked.
We've been in some old ones that seemed to be but weren't quite the 1,700 years old as here.

This nice ranger offered a very enlightening walk and talk on how much is and ISN'T  known about life here almost two thousand years ago.

In the park is a preserved fire lookout  station from years ago.

If you ever wanted to get somebody in the "cross hairs",
they are the fine strings crossing over the optical finder here.

We thought we spotted some trouble on the horizon but only later passed it off as some citizens (snowboarders) enjoying the new "420" Colorado.

Getting you in my sights, no, wait,
it's Snoop Dog.
