BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA. SAN TELMO

February 10-17, 2017

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Kate and I will end up spending two weeks in the city.
Our first in the Bohemian barrio of
San Telmo.

The legend of Eva Perron.

Before we get too far today we will stop for breakfast at the historic Cafe Tortoni.
The city's moniker,
"The Paris of South America"
is rich in the tradition of coffee, architecture, urban green spaces and much more.

Famous players.

Birthplace of the Tango.
We will take a much closer look later.

Hungry?
Mercado San Telmo

Chimichurri, an uncooked sauce used for grilled meat; it comes in a green version (chimichurri verde) and a red version (chimichurri rojo). It's made of finely-chopped parsley, minced garlic, vegetable oil, oregano, and white vinegar.

This place off the street was truly a hole in the wall.
But most importantly it had smoke, the good kind, coming out of it.

Trying to be culturally diversified, after a week we hike trough town and set up a condo camp in the slighter upscale barrio of Recoleta.

Post cards from the www.

We'll need a couple of lights to cross these beautiful but massive boulevards.
