Grass Lake Rest Stop, California to Klamath Falls, Oregon, U.S.A. Nemy, Hyla and paul.

September 16, 2016
Day 25
50/63

Now that we have rested at this stop,

Here's just another day in a cycle of real life. A cycle tour that saw, my two compasses, Nicola and Hyla, and a I amazingly fill in the empty spaces on a crossword. That meaning a  cross state ride from Bakersfield to South Lake Tahoe, CA. There we ceremoniously jettisoned the one spice girl back to life in Ontario, Canada. That up and down story can be found further back via the “older post” button. Father’s days!
These pages are of Hyla and I continuing and taking in some pretty amazing highs and "ohs" and trying to chase, thankfully, a never ending horizon.
Or at least for now Portland, Oregon, U.S.A.
.....today we will push on into Oregon.

Just as the sign said.
"Rest Stop"

I like my bicycle computer as a source of entertainment, amusement, depression, ...
Our continuous data bank of continuous daily information is a little broke intentionally.
I have said long ago when we were going up more than towards the horizon, daily distances are a relative thing.
Saddle time tells the true story.
For most of the trip we've been averaging 6-7 hours on the seat.
Seventy five to one hundred kilometres a day.

Last bump for a couple of days.

Oregon welcomes me!

Oregon:
"We Love Dreamers; Things Look Different Here"

Live in the now.

After three and a half weeks we leave California behind.

Our aim is true.

Its not a boulevard.
It is of broken up pavement.
Your shadow does ride beside you.

Like many abandoned lumber mills we have past, seems like the trees are LONG gone.
Can't even imagine that there were forests within a hundred miles from here.

Perfect timing.

Klamath Falls, Oregon, U.S.A.
Made it.
Hear they have a great bike shop in town.

ME TUBE resupply.
