DAY 7, JUNE 22
We do do our work but we do travel in comfort. From the days pervious camp, today we start fresh from a great motel (We love motels, roll in, roll out, retro vibe with most anything amplified a weary cyclist could wish for) with clean clothes, tweaked bike, great sleep,…. Here we will officially pick up the Le Petit Train de Nord linear cycling trail. Right from the first few of the two hundred kilometres we will ride, the trail offers most anything a couple of cycle tourists could wish for. Beautiful intimate scenery, excellent mix of pavement and firm stone, fellow riders with no shortage of friendly exchanges of “BonJours”, superb support facilities in the way of refurbished train stations offering all needs of services,………..and did I mention that it being an old railway bed the gradients never being more than two to three precent keeping this two bike train just rolling along. We’ll take advantage of the favourable weather with a St Agathe de Mont overnight camp.
