AQUA PRIETA, MEXICO. PART ONE. DECEMBER 28, 2022

If some US politician built you a lemon,
some Mexican artists are making lemonade.

After a little homework we felt quite comfortable deciding on a little foray into Mexico. The sister border town of Douglas, Arizona,... Aqua Prieta.

All that we will want and need (pretty much FOOD) is within a ten minute walk upon entering. We tidied up our panniers for customs but it will be confirmed with a rather lacklustre agent inspection that they don’t suspect a lot of people illegally sneaking into Mexico.

Feeling quite safe and comfortable, we will eventually stay a week. For the first part we’ve sourced an AirB&B that will prove substantial considering the town has some shiny bits but predominately reflects the struggles of an impoverished nation.

(Sad to see but preferred it being only a moderate trap for venturing tourists)

Consistent with some of the poorer countries we’ve travelled to, very friendly locals.

"Want to go for some Mexican?"

Amigos.

What our flat might be lacking in decor and ambiance is more than made up with the necessities of first world life..........
BIG SCREEN TV, AWESOME WIFI AND
NETFLIX!!!!!!

Stick around for a lot more Mexico.
