DAY SIX. THATS RIGHT. DAY SIX

August 28, 2016
Day Six.
Piedra to Auberry, California
Part of Nicola, Hyla and Paul Nemy cycling the Sierra Nevada

Breaking Camp Piedra.
Our magical mystery tour provided us with a rather refreshing spot considering the country and climate we past through yesterday.

Early morning riding.
Almost the best.

Fresh legs.
Fresh air.

Big Pine Lake.

One gets the feeling that every last drop of water is being sucked out of everything. Evident here with "ringed" notches marking the slow draining of this reservoir.

Oh is being on Georgian Bay such a privilege.

Our evening on back up supplies left us in want of nothing.
Even had a hearty breakfast.
Here not too far into our day we get to resupply. Our day ahead will hold no services till the end of our ride.

Hope I don't forget anything.

Hyla Ann Nemy

Cattle country.

I'm surprise that the whole state, at least a good part of what we have been riding through isn't just one big fireball.
The roadside and landscape is evidence of many stories.
Many fine lines drawn between happy and sad.

We will today ride into Aubrey.
Not to much happening here other than your one complete stop and shop that will serve us well.
Very well indeed.
Run by an endlessly helpful and gracious owner's Bee and her husband.
Transplanted East Indian All Americans.

Its a small world after all.
Canadians who studied and traveled in India,
cycling in California,........

Check out took a while.

Coming next: We're hauling'

failure is not an option
