ATHENS AND THE ACROPOLIS

Today we are in for a little history lesson(I think I missed class that day), but first.

We continue to expand our world of coffee drinking.
Greece has their own grounds and brew style that we enjoy just in the fact its different and confirms each morning that we are not in line at the StarB's or TimH's
The breakfast treats are another post.

Each day now we are pleasantly reminded that for here at least, spring is on its way.

Today, ignoring the fact that it has probably been in some state of repair for a couple of thousand years,
we will visit the Acropolis.
The Parthenon being the the main attraction.

With events still held here today, it would be an amazing place to see something.
Bono and U2 played here, but for that matter, I think they've played everywhere.

With it still early in the tourist season, the site is well attended.

 Virtual Parthenon is MUCH better!

A modern salute to an ancient civilisation.
In your face Zeus!!!!

Memories for a lifetime or till you loose your cellphone.

Our first pass through Athens had us visit the new museum, enlightening, ever so slightly, our visit today. Kate can tell you what these figures represent.

Please be careful what you lean against!!!

Acropolis admission e10.00
People watching. Priceless.
