TORRES DEL PAINE, PARQUE NACIONAL. REFUGIO EL CHILENO

January 23, 2017

With some snow starting to fall, it was time we headed back.

It will take us over two hours to reach El Chileno and we certainly wouldn't want to miss our supper reservation.

We thanked our personal photographer, an MD, originally from Pakistan, that is currently practising in Bangor, Maine, and started our return.

Back to Refugio El Chileno and our camp.

Here mapped is the point where the most famous images of the park are photographed from,
Mirador Base Las Torres.
You can also see Kate and I hiking up.

Whats up pussycat?
Hey wait a minute, you're not a pussycat.

There will be no better way to end our biggest day in the park than here.

The good news is that it tastes like chicken!

After almost a week we meet up with a family transplanted to Santiago  from the USA, that we shared our boat ride into the park with.

We will have totalled almost seven hours of trekking up and down today.
Job well done.
Well done indeed.
