TORRES DEL PAINE, PARQUE NATIONAL, CHILE. BUS, BOAT AND A BIT OFF THE BUTT.

January, 19, 2017
Day One

So we've made our way to Lodge Paine Grande where we will spend the night.

We will take advantage of the long summer days and hike partly up to Glacier Grey, our first part of the "W" route .

Many of the these are rent-a-tents.

Artist from Bathurst and Eglington.

Taking advantage of the bus and boat, we've brought our first night's supper.

Table with a view.

Our first night of "group" accommodation will play in our favour. Kate and I will share a room with three bunk beds with just one roomy. A young lady from South Korea.

We are already getting accustomed to Patagonian weather. In any given moment one can experience most every pattern of a "southern" sky. Don't like it, just wait five minutes for the next system.

en tu alma o en el horizonte?
