We knew we made it to Calgary when we heard the yelling from the cockpit "Whoa big fella, Whoa! |
Our original plan was to spend the first night, if not two, camping and hiking in Waterton National Park, Alberta. The area forecast was not friendly so we decided to head south, as we had planned for some part of our trip. This was our driving day. Almost eight hundred kilometres. Big sky all the way. I would say five, if not ten percent, bigger than home. We have ended up in Bozeman, Montana. Our jumping off spot for our Yellowstone, and more so, Bearfoot, "All American Highway" visits. Our home tonight is also the home to the Central Asia Institute. Greg Mortensen's "Three Cups of Tea" mission and Tejay van Garderen, the current leader of the Best Young Rider category in the current Tour de France. Along with the donning of the white jersey, he is gifted with a stuffed white "Yeti" at the podium presentations. Interesting, as soon we will be heading into Sasquatch country.

Driving for as long as we have, we've already seen quite the mix of beautiful country. Will open the guidebook and give everyone a looksie soon. |
