RED LODGE to SEELEY LAKE, MONTANA, U.S.A.
TODAY'S EPISODE: IN A STEEL HORSE WE RIDE.
Today was a travel day. Heading back to glacier country. For good part of the day we travelled through wide open hot valleys. Big valleys, big sky, big sun. Lots of punching the "seek" button on the radio. They have both types of music here, Country and Western.
On route we past through Missoula, which is home the the Adventure Cycling Association. It predominately promotes and supports touring by bicycle across the Americas. It is this Association's maps that I will rely on for my tour.
Our plan and intention was to camp for the night. After stocking up in Missoula, we headed up the beautiful Steeley Valley. A high alpine region (my favourite countryside, Ponderosa Pine country) dotted with lakes and people camping in our spots. We settled for a little motel for the night.

Busted in Missoula. Oh, wait. It was just a friendly notice we've done wrong. |
