SHOSHONE NATIONAL FOREST, WYOMING, U.S.A.

JULY 22, 2012
ISLAND LAKE CAMPGROUND
9,600 feet above sea level.

After our night in Cooke City, we pushed up the Beartooth Highway. We have become aware of the bear issue and listened to all advice carefully. With much caution and with the safety in numbers in our favour, we camped. National forests and State parks have always been a favourite of ours. Controlled but very natural. Unlike the "Take a Number National Parks".

Very private, but nice neighbours close by.

Whats all the "Hubba Bubba" about.

The picture on the can is if you need a quick reference.
Keeping one the four major food groups safe.
We were going to keep our dinner plans simple
and safe. We ended up dining in the "Enterprise
Car Rental Cafe" as a storm past.
Dashboard Light Buffet

I went for a early morning ride. Kate had the coffee on by the time I got back. I cannot say enough about those bear proof food containers

COMING SOON: HIKING, RIDIN' AND DRIVIN' THE BEARTOOTH HIGHWAY. SPOILER: MY FAVOURITE PACTH OF PAVEMENT .
