Route de Beline

Stocking up on provisions. Not at Horton Tim's. Not at Mart Wall.
Maximum loading at the fish store.

We seemed to have a couple of extra days before we really need to be anywhere. So we thought we would spend another night on the river.

In spots the coastline is quite dramatic.
So has been our weather.

 Beach

We fortunately found another quiet river side camp ground. I generally try to avoid commercial sites, but this had a homey feel to it. The hosts hardly spoke any English but were very gracious.
The other campers always offered fun advice.

 Keeping the Duck near water.

Just a quiet evening's walk down from our site was this lighthouse. This area seemed rather remote but none the less the light keepers house housed a 4star restaurant.

The dramatic tides offered us landlubbers some amusement in figuring when is high, low.....
Not just here, but the last couple of days we have seen numerous whales.

Guessed right with the tent placement as we did not get any mid night surprises.
Fell asleep listening to the waves coming in.

 Scallop Veg Couscous pour deux.

It does get better.
Both Kate and I got up in the middle of the night, not for scientific reasons, and caught some of the Perseid's Meteor Shower.

Bon nuit!
