HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY LABRADOR
Our view in the distance at night was the early work of another Mega Hydro project on the go, Muskrat Falls. In case anyone is interested, they are hiring.
This town was virtually created by the establishment of a huge US air force base in the 50's. Though in a much reduced capacity, the facility still hosts international guards and specialises in low level jet training.
After a brief visit to the airport to
confirm the details of outr flight to Nain tomorrow, we continued our visit of
Happy Valley – Goose Bay with a tour of the laundromat and other rather non
notable, but adequate, provision sites. We both are finding HV-GB rather
podge than hodge and are not adding to our list permanent hideouts if we need
one.
Lyold and Jodie. Our friends from back in the Fermont days.
