MV NORTHERN RANGER, POSTVILLE, LABRADOR - THE GREAT BIG LABRADOR SEA

DAY FIFTEEN
FRIDAY, AUGUST 23, 2013
ABOARD THE NORTHERN RANGER ON THE LABRADOR SEA.

GOOD MORNING
HOW'D YOU SLEEP?

Our voyage so far have been on clam seas. We fall asleep to a gentle rolling of the boat and the distant drone from the stern of it's engines.

Let' get a coffee.

Looks like people are avoiding the breakfast,

rush.

We have seen most everything hoisted or carried onto the boat.
Even pets.
Nice doggy.

 Steaming into Postville.

Whenever Kate and I aren't on deck or exploring the ship we have been enjoying our berth.
The majority of the passengers have set up camp in the lounge. We would have fit right in if we would have brought our tent and gear. To fit right in we would have need our sleeping pads, sleeping bags, pillows, cooler, backpacks, stove, spare tire, ....

This coast long ago supported seal, fish, whale industries that brought people here from throughout the world.
The Basques presence was predominate.

Our allotted time for exploring was defined by the ship's  horn blast that signalled if you don't want to spend a short week in this one pony town, get yourselves to the business end of the gang plank soon.

With this couple, the four of us were the only passengers that seemed to be travelling for the adventure of it.

Anchor and lines away.
