One would think that after driving a couple of thousand kilometres through Northern Quebec and Labrador that every twenty clicks or so we would be swirving to avoid all the wildlife sharing the road.
Our sightings have been very few, limited to some ground and flying foul.
Our travels on the Trans Labrador have taken us across Caribou country. Always on a lookout, but their seasonal migration has them beyond our sight. Locals we have met over the past week speak of sightings of hundreds, if not thousands at a time.
Some herds further north still number in the hundreds of thousands.

Glad this is not the view when we open the tent flap.
BETTER LUCK SOON? NEWFOUNDLAND IS SUPPOSEDLY RUN OVER BY MOOSE.
