RODDICKTON, NEWFOUNDLAND

DAY TWENTY TWO
FRIDAY,AUGUST 29, 2013
ST ANTHONY TO RODDICKTON, NEWFOUNDLAND

Breaking Haven Inn camp. The suns out. Lets go camping.
Common in this area are roadside garden plots. I guess the chance of having some decent soil coincidentally in your backyard when you're livin' on The Rock are low.
This plot looked particularly nice with it's moose fence.

With not having to be anywhere soon,  a lot of our driving is at a reduced rate hoping to increase our chances of seeing wildlife. Even here, heading through and around Roddickton, the supposedly Moose Capital of the World, proved light viewing wise.

Any moose out there? Some, but out of the viewfinder.

This area of an already lightly populated province  provide ample "stealth"camping opportunities.
(under the radar)
It's not that we are opposed to the fees associated with a campground, but being self sufficient allowed us some pretty quiet and private spots without even coming close to crossing onto private property.

Here we take a break from our routine and grab a freshwater spot

Fell asleep to a Loon Lulaby

Fresh mussels. Should have joined us. Had way too many. They were only selling crazy large bags at crazy low prices.

Crisp, clear and cool.
Make sure we pull that sleeping bag drawstring tight.
