OUR COTTGE. OUR BEDROOM

Hello. Finding it hard to believe that it’s been seven years since our cottage starting going up and six summer seasons that Kate and I have been endeavouring to bring it to some semblance of complete. (I use the word “work” with reverence as one would be hard pressed to find a nicer place to do so) Not sure if it will ever be “finished” but we  sure are  proud (surprised, confounded, amazed,….) of how far we’ve gotten. In the next series of posts we would like to share with you some images of our beautiful hideaway.

I`m closing in on seventy and in all those years I’ve slept in few beds that have a view like ours here. We knew well enough in advance and took full advantage of it . What a way to end or start a day. Watching the moon rise and even those mid summer 05:37 sunrises are beyond memorable.

How about waking up to this.
Some crazy crow personalized stained glass.
One down, one to go.

We had the Longhorns so where else than out of Kate's studio would you find a skull like that.

Good morning sunshine.

With early Canada`s "Main Street"
(two, three hundred years ago)
(the route of the voyageurs)
passing through the French River district of Georgian Bay just to the north of us,
we`ll salute the Hudson's Bay Company by flying their colours in our bedroom.
