NEW YEARS DAY 2017

January 1, 2016 2017

Top fourteen do's and Volcano don'ts.

We will wake to a glorious start to the new year.
Our breakfast will be back dropped my the Volcano Villaricca. It would have been just below the snow line that we camped a couple of nights ago.

Our passage thru town before leaving will reveal some celebrants still hanging on to the old year and a few already off in the new.

One of the many outdoor adventures available locally is a guided alpine climb to the summit.
The volcano is still active so be careful up top. apparently somebody fell in not long ago.
Perhaps a sacrifice to the Goddess of Tourism.

We will today start heading back south towards Puerto Montt. Not sure where we will end up.
One thing we are sure about is that all of the TransAmerica that we have travelled is heavily laden with Tollbooths.

One area of Chile that has been popping up on most tourism sites is the Island of Chiloe.

Lets go see.

The LoveBoat Ferry

A twenty five minute ferry ride will get us there.

Please continue to join us as we are off to find a campsite.
A beach? Boat?
Penguins?
(and I'm not talking about the penguin that beat the shit out of you in Catholic school)
