TODAY'S PRESENTATION

There's something about having my bike packed up behind me and not my skis.

If the main highway is lookin' like this, can't wait to hit the back roads on my bike

Mennonite Country

We're in Elmira now so lets keep and eye out for some........

March 25, 2014 (Elmira, ON) – Anyone who has ridden Steaming Nostril will tell you about the pain that awaits on the snowy, icy, wet and mud filled rail trail. The pain of doing it once isn’t good enough. After having clawed your way out of the rail trail, racing 60km of snow covered dirt and gravel roads, you’re forced to ride the trail one more time before crossing the finish line. The return trip is where most people are “broken”. Pictures often reveal pain filled and desperate faces....
and much more

The shorter, RUNNY NOSE, roll out.

Chilling out in the very beautiful community centre before chilling out......

Wave 1 call to the line.

Like so many times not being invited to so many cocktails parties, I today deal with what to wear? what to wear when it's -10c. Too much too hot. Too little........

If I ride by a bank, maybe.....

 Wave 1 roll out.

 See you, like never again

The false serenity of passing through a quiet downtown in the first K.

Pretty much the first and last 5 K's were on this snowmobile trail mistakenly labelled rail trail.
(Maybe it's down there somewhere)

The K-W club did put on well addressed and great event!!!!

No. 282

We're off.           Off the back already.

Here I'm working on getting my face to match my kit.

 Canadian guard rail.

Some sections were snowbank to snowbank ice and more snow.

It wasn't much on my mind while I rode, but someone was still at the finish by the time I got there.
My photographer, the always friendly announcer Chris K.  Sign me up for Bronte?

Finishing fifth in class is my line and I'm stickin' to it.
I went to have fun and that I did.

Thanks again Hugh for a great bike. A "True North" of snow and ice.

Looking a little too clean, but snow is white.

EDITOR'S NOTE - PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT SOME OF TIM HORTON'S ROLL-UP-THE         RIM CUPS HAVE A BONUS(EXTRA) CHANCE TO WIN. GOOD LUCK.
