SUN HARVEST GREENHOUSES. KINGSTON, ONTARIO. CANADA.

What's better than going to a "Cut your own" flower patch?

Have the grower cut them for you!!!!!!

"Never trust anyone thats never had a little dirt under their fingernails."

Special delivery to Fonthill.

MONT TREMBLANT, ST JOVITE, QUEBEC, CANADA. JULY

We will do a relocate today,
but before we leave Montreal we'll stop at the city's most iconic bagel shop,
St Viateur.

Hows that for a friend?
Here I drop Larry off about one hundred kilomertres from where we are heading, St Jovite, Mont Tremblant.
One of Quebec's fantastic trails,
the linear cycle path,
Le Petit Train du Nord is the best and same route that Kate and I took not but a month ago.

We'll do two beautiful day loops in the Tremblant area.

Don't see this everyday but,
I do see a BLT, Bacon and eggs, Bacon wrap, topped, .... enough.
Just doing my agrotourism bit.

We were hoping to combine a little motorsport with our trip. One target was an event at the beautiful Circuit Mont Tremblant that last minute was closed to spectators.
We did kind of get in and then we were kind of poliely asked to leave.
Merci & SVP.

St. Jovite has a number of beautiful places to dine,
but when you a hankering a hot dog,
you're hankering a hot dog.
(They did taste better, being "Chein Chauds")

Again, not a place that I would have been overly quick to pull in on a cold call,
But our room and amenities served us well.

Served us well!!!!

Pretty much finishing off where we first started.
EXCELLENT two weeks in between !!!

MONTREAL, QUEBEC. CANADA. JULY

After a week of exploring some rural La Belle Province,
we've transferred to Montreal for a little urban touring.
We found the city to have it up and downs.

This city makes it fun (and evidently practical) to ride.
We will end up riding in excess of seventy kilometres and never ever being close to leaving the core.

Hot laps.
(Where Montreal meets for some smokin'...)
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Isle Notre Dame.

The track is open 24/7 for recreational use,
except hopefully one day, one year, cars will use it again.

Pit stop.

Parc Olympic.
The BioDome that was orginally the velodrome.
Here's a legacy:
The track that they are building in Bromont apparently is budgeted for $22million.
In the '70's this facility, and just this facility, was reportedly built for $140million, with overuns.
The legacy is apparently still being enjoyed by the
Bank of Montreal.

In the forground is Kate's E-assist Gazelle.
No better in-town ride.
In the background is Quantum Bikes where staffer and family, Liam M helped us with the purchase.
Back in town we stop by for pro pit stop.
(In the middle is Larry enjoying some awsome fare from the nearby Atwater Market)

Smokin' by bike by day.
Montreal meat smokin' by Schwartz's by night.

Hey regardezvous,
I just ate in the same chair used by Jean Beliveau!

Sunday 15 August 2021

WATERLOO, QUEBEC. CANADA. P TWO.

It must be Sunday.

The area, The Eastern Townships, being only one hour south of populous Montreal, has developed into quite the multi sport playground for the outdoor fanatical Quebecois.

Bromont, Quebec has long been a developemental centre for Cycling Canada.
Currently under construction,
a rare animal most anywhere in the world,
an indoor velodrome

Shake it, don't break it.

The area, like so much of Quebec, is criss crossed with a variety of cycling trials and routes.
Ranging from rail lines converted to beautiful paved recreational trails right to any sort of combination of quaint paved and gravel backroads.

We'll end up riding everyday for a good part of a week in relatively nice, a bit humid, summer weather.
Our only real inclement weather arrived and cancelled the night we planned to go see some local
"Gross Bloc"
Stock Car racing.
Not tres bien.

Le Blogger, avec nice kit.
Alaska jersey(Merci Nicola) matching my
Parry Sound Bikes shorts
in Quebec.

Larry down the up road.

I look up to Larry,

ON ALL THE ENDLESS CLIMBS WE DID.

Motel of the Two Lakes.
Waterloo, Quebec.
(If you do come, don't bring your boat)

Being an active region of both winter and summer sports,
most every little town we passed through looked like great fun.

Our general area and a few spots we rode thru.
Missed tagging it but our base was in Waterloo, Quebec.
Pretty much centrally located.
