NEMY FAMILY COTTAGE. BAYFIELD INLET, GEORGIAN BAY, ONTARIO, CANADA. PROGRESS AND A LITTLE PERFECTION

Cottage life progress report.

We have power.
Our great electricians have powered up our solar system. Mind you today we have just one light and one outlet, it won't be long now that they will start the wiring of the cottage.

Graziotto Electric.
Pleasure to have them here.
Great guys!!!

Livin' off the grid.
They say it will pay for itself in six to seven lifetimes!

Four times six volts each.
Go figure.

Our 24volts will mostly be inverted to 120v through out the cottage. Depending on what draws when, will be able to plug in most anything that one finds in a on the grid home.
Heavy to LED lights with dimmers.
Our refrigerator is designed for off the grid and will run on 24Volts.

Electrical inspector.

Counter tops.
Bed ply.
Logs.

Trial bed placement.
Ridin' high so I can lay low.
Panoramic views?
Check.

Lots more of this soon.
Cottage of colour.

 Our wood cook stove.
Primary heat source. Other than passive solar, I guess our only heat source.
Firebox near side.Bake oven top right.
Ash drop and warming tray.
Other than  the flue, the whole of the surface is cooktop.

 Kitchen.
Fridge going on far wall. Propane cook stove/oven going in island.
Butcher legs with block to follow.
The original Kerosene stove on the bottom right will anchor a open face kitchenware cabinet.

 Guest room loft.
Windows coming mid July.
This will have the view down the channel and the floor below.

Holes common between the two bedrooms.

After a little touch up, this is scheduled to hang in our sitting area.
Will act as a big lampshade. Planning on sticking light bulbs in our old Coleman lanterns and hang them within the inverted canoe.

Preliminary layout for our outdoor kitchen.
Bypassed some expensive purpose furniture for pieces designed for garage storage .

Nestled a cook top in what's salvaged from the prized  award winning Tim Horton's BBQ.
Kate rolled up the rim.
Next thing you know she's was burnin'some burgers!

Just waiting for propane hook-up before we start closing the holes.

Test chicken.
Perfect.

Now to see if we're cranking enough amps for the waffle maker.
