GREETING SEASON 2017

Well considering I’m at December 19th on my third Advent Calendar (I can't stop eating even for ten minutes. Ghandi at least made it through a three hour movie) better get around to wishing one and all a most importantly healthy and happy celebration of our presence and this time to share.
May there peace and good amongst our sister and brotherhood.

For now Kate and I look back. We know how many stories end but at this magical time of Christmas we try relive those special occasions, those all so exceptional childlike moments.

To try to live anew. To recapture some of the magic. To once again wonder wide eyed during a time past where you secretly deep down, unknowingly, knew how many times over and over that:

Earnest IS going to save Christmas.

And I will open the little paper door marked 25 and continue to smile on how sweet my world is.

USS ALABAMA, MOBILE, SWEET HOME ALABAMA, USA

We've come about as far south as the Gulf of Mexico will allow, so now going to listen to Karen, the google directions lady, and "proceed to the north route and turn.........."

Thanks again to this real life playground of America and to so many of its people that we continue to met. They keep me learning and loving my trip to the "states".
At somewhere having visited over forty of the fifty,
I continue to block out all the worldly comments and opinions on what goes on, comes out of, polarises and politicises this country by people who watch and listen from a variety of arm length distances, venues and medias.
We continue to meet and have a hand extended in such a warm manner that makes me realise this gracious hospitality is occasionally absent even in our great homeland.

I am a volunteer of America.
I in my naivety I try to remember more the things that are or attempting to be fixed
rather than the things that are and had been broken.

Bye for now our sweet temporary home Alabama, Mississippi,....

Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

MOBILE BAY, THE TRAVERSING OF. ALABAMA USA.

When you are travelling close to one thousand kilometres per hour you are close to most everywhere.
Here the practising US Navy's precision performance squadron Blue Angels are not far from their base in Pensacola, Florida, USA

THE SHED BARBEQUE AND BLUESJOINT, OCEAN SPRINGS, MISSISSIPPI, USA

Once there was a guy that spent most of his out-of-class time at Ole Miss scouting out, jumping in, and rummaging through dumpsters and street side garbage piles. The highlight of his week was the “night before trash day.” After graduation, he wanted to move back to the Coast.
One sobering morning he surveyed all he had collected over the years. It was Everywhere, it was Insane: warped used two by fours, old tin roofing, bent nails, ugly windows, mountains of pure, unadulterated junk!…
