Hoodoo's Crescent Lake Resort to USFA Crescent Lake Campground, Oregon, U.S.A.

September 22, 2016
Day 31

Our decision to short stack our trip by ending in Eugene has afforded us a couple of days of leisure.

Even with bikes at hand, just a quick walk across a small causeway from the lodge lay a rather empty campground with some rather nice and empty yurts.

With the comfort of the stove, we will enjoy the stay even more so with the onset of some cold weather.

Tomorrow when we get back on the bikes, are we

Re-cycling?

Day 30

We haven't been coming across a lot of cycle tourists lately. When we spotted this ride outside of the local dinner we thought we would go find the owner.

Mutually we were glad we did.
Check out Alberts one year tour around U.S.A.
Yes. Crazy guy on bike.

We tried to supplement last nights supper with the current crop.
The transient mushroom pickers are in town and the local forests harvesting what little this very dry season has yielded.

Looking back here, our scheduled routing would have had us heading left and ultimately Portland.
With four of our scheduled five weeks behide us, we've decided to short shift our tour and head to Eugene, Oregon. There we will conclude our cycle portion of the tour and arrange a quick step to Portland and our rendezvous with Carol, John and a food truck or two!

Maybe next year?

We are heading to some rustic accommodations tonight but not this.....

Just in time.

 Much success!!

I do love shitty weather. Most times.
Here we've out ridin' some pretty cold and messy weather. With supper, the heat, Chopped Chemult on,
we're comfy inside looking' out!!!!

Crater Lake National Park to Chemult, Oregon. U.S.A. Nemy, Team

September 20, 2016
Day 29

Here we've packed up camp Crater and will literally, for miles and miles, head down the road.

Right from day one with Nicola from Bakersfield, California, we have ridin' every mile thrown at us.
Here we don't want to upset SugarBear and gladly accept a ride in the pilot car.
(I'm sure, including Nicola, all would agree, why couldn't they have been reconstructing the road up to the top of Sequoia park!!!!)

I love talking to construction crews.(plus the rest).
On the job in the park for most of the summer, just one story was of the fires that passed thru, and closing, the area not that long ago.

Looking back up to our lasts evening's perch, Watchman's Point.

As we slowly leave the park we again cross the PCT.

Hiker's H2O re-supply.

Dutch cycle tourist sporting his country's national colours of orange.
Today's directions.
At the bottom of the hill, turn left.

Another in the Summit Series.
Not that we won't be having our ups and downs, but from here we will be gradually losing elevation till home.

Switching to glide.

Chemult, Oregon.
Love these towns.
Still lots of spit. I mean real living man and woman's spit.
Little off on the polish.

I don't write enough what great partners I started and remain with.
Everybody seems happiest with less than more.

Here after a string of camping,(I can't write this too often, as in not at all) we've taken some of the FINEST accommodations that Chemult offers.
We've scrubbed ourselves, our clothes and now will take full advantage of basic cable after having visited the gas station/grocery for our night in!!!!
