Crater Lake National Park, Oregon,U.S.A. A Good Morning Nemy, Hyla, paul

September 20, 2016
Day 29 That's over four weeks.

Sleeping bag cam.

Sunrise. Wizard Island.

Here's just another day in a cycle of real life. A cycle tour that saw, my two compasses, Nicola and Hyla, and a I amazingly fill in the empty spaces on a crossword. That meaning a  cross state ride from Bakersfield to South Lake Tahoe, CA. There we ceremoniously jettisoned the one spice girl back to life in Ontario, Canada. That up and down story can be found further back via the “older post” button. Father’s days!
These pages are of Hyla and I continuing and taking in some pretty amazing highs and "ohs" and trying to chase, thankfully, a never ending horizon.
Or at least for now Portland, Oregon, U.S.A.

Camp Crater.

Our evening, moon lite night and spectacular sunrise has been one of those Golden Tickets so often found when travelling by the stealthiness of a bicycle.

Crater Lake National Park, Oregon, U.S.A. Watchman Peak. A Good Evening. Nemy, Hyla and Shifty

September 19, 2016
Day 28

With camp way below we've hiked to the top of Watchman Peak.
The Sunset place to be.

No mans an Wizard Island.
At least I don't think so.

One, if not thee, deepest and cleanest lakes in all of the United States of America.
Almost near another round of winter, still some small pockets of snow lingering from the past season.

Our "under construction" road out tomorrow.
Dirt trackin'

Crater Lake National Park, Oregon. US.A. Nemy, Father and Daughter

Day 28
53/63

We are in the park but still have to actually make it up to the lake. That is the one thing that has become pretty consistent over the four weeks we have been riding, "we're movin' on up!"

But first from our "Chopped Pannier",
breakfast.

I love leftovers but.....
DeJa Vu breakfast.

Our bicycles are always a draw for some form of conversation.
Here some fellow cycle tourists offer some advice on the road ahead.
"Hills!!!!"

At least they weren't lying,
after a short (5k) but rather punchy ride ride up,
Crater Lake!

America the Beautiful.

Here again we were befriended by this couple. Their door was open to us further up the road.
(Did I say UP again!)

Hyla looks off to Wizard Island and a possible camp spot hopefully somewhere on the rim.

Editors note: Apologies for the late notice and any inconvenience it may bring but todays question and answer period has been cancelled.
