(close to the Nevada stateline, our gamble has become a winner)
agree to be the most memorable two weeks of our lives, in adventure and challenge.
We just completed our scheduled two week ride through some of the most demanding and equally rewarding country of our cycling lives.
We quite possibly have collectively climbed and equally descended 27,000 ft of some some of the most famous, scenic and iconic land of all of the United States of America.
Father and Sisterhood
of the Travelling Panting.
of the Travelling Panting.
These past two weeks composed a story, like the ride, too grand not to be told.
A GRAND TOUR
A GRAND TOUR
Life in the slow lane.
a non friction
That one day will come.
A story of a journey that will heavily reflect not just the incredible land we passed through, but how the three of us shared so incredibly much.
Right from our nearly simultaneous heads popping out of tents at an all-too early hour, the unspoken glances meaning "we are getting to the top together one way or another,"
it's never lonely at the top!
to an end of the day reward of silent reflection of what we just did, to the simplest ice cream with most incredible back drop.
Big risks =
Big rewards
Sadly we say goodbye to Nicola here. Coming into this ride with barely, "once you know how to ride a bike you will never forget," and not much more.
For both Hyla and I having some touring experience,
this was on a scale of inviting someone who barely knows how to ski a snowplow and taking them right to the Double Black diamond runs.
Even for me, I don't do Double Black diamonds.
Both girls were consistently good for a cadence of one hundred smiles per every hundred kilometres up and down.
For now and during Hyla and mine next three-week push to Portland, Oregon, please enjoy random posts of what we think are some pretty amazing random photos.
please don't pull the plug,
and I'm talking the TV,
for even if I have pass I would like to still take my earned rest with perhaps something a little mindless in the background.
Being in California still for a while,
I'd really like to watch,
"Porsche House"
it's supposedly a little sad but....
It's about a guy who loses his house but lives in a Porsche.
