Wow! Look at that, May 7th.
After most winters we are always eager to get back to the island as soon as ice out.
Some years we have been fortunate to be in as early as mid April.
Here we go in literally just a day or two after the ever shifting icepack is finally gone.
(I think I recognize this piece from a trek in this past February?)
Even with two winter visits, thankfully we will find our new cottage and all else on the island safe and intact.
We'll zest up our first night's meal thanks to some east coast fixins from the girls.
Incredibly beautiful as ever.
