FOR THE LOVES OF MY LIFE and PUMPKIN PIE

Long live the pioneers
Rebels and mutineers
Go forth and have no fear
Come close and lend an ear

This year by statute I have two official days to give thanks.
Two days that remind me that I do, should, think and perhaps dream of gratitude everyday.
Thanks for having a travelling partner in life.
Thanks for an appreciate and giving family.
Thankful for a family of spirit and adventure and cause.
Thanks for friends that give.
Thanks for a past that guides my future.
Thankful for the privilege and opportunity of good health.
Thanks so I may continue to cultivate and be a consumer of the good in this world.
Thanks for the opportunity to be elevated to mountains of high power.
Thankful from the rewards of daily challenges.
May I continue to practice at being happy so have some to thankfully share.
So tonight, tomorrow and the next day I will try to happily
give thanks.

Editor's note: With regret, going over niagara paul's will be closed for the remainder of the day so as to be with family in mind, body and soul. We also are unable to validate parking for tomorrow.

LOVELAND PASS, COLORADO, USA

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2015

Today we will backtrack out of Winter Park over the Berthoud Pass to the infamous I-70 corridor of Colorado ski country. Then hang a left and head up and over The Loveland Pass.
The highest year round maintained mountain pass in the world (I think)

 Winter Park

(small part of) Winter Park

 Up Berthoud Pass

All this white stuff was dumping when we first crossed.

Today the roads will be bordered by Back Country Skiers and Boarders in search of fresh snow.
All hiking up in any matter for free and fresh runs.

We will pass two ski hills that we skied as a family over fifty years ago.
Full retro report soon.

There are more ways than one to get legally high in Colorado.
This is one of them.
Loveland Pass.

 Free ridin'

If and only if I was to take a pee here and now it would be a close call if it would be Atlantic or Pacific bound.

 Arapahoe Basin Ski Area.

Keystone Resort.

WINTER PARK RESORT, COLORADO, UNITED STATES of AMERICA

November 20, 2015

Winter Park ResortO    Ou  Our trip goes downhill

 FIRST FRESH TRACKS!!!

Good, thank GOODness, that most of Colorado has been getting snow.
The last few days have seen some blizzards packing 100MPH
winds cross the state.

No complaints to catch the tail end of this one.

Sorry. Put the slide in backwards.

With a average of 29ft of snow a year, off to a good start.

Training the trainers.

Want to volunteer for adaptive skiing?

Even though the resort was far from being fully open,
a great start.

It being just the third day of the season, the whole place seemed to be in a training mode.
Practice smile.

Parts of the resort were showing it's 76 years.
I like that.

Wonder where we put the ...............

DEVIL'S THUMB RANCH, COLORADO, USA

I'm pretty much out of breath most times I XC ski so our first day @ 9,000 ft+ we headed out of Winter Park for a little breathless scenery.

 The wild blue Frontier.

Editor's pick.

These are for Carol and John

Kind of ranch I wouldn't have a problem if someone rustled up some grub and a sleeping blanket for us.
