The widest windy day in the twenty five years I've been here!!

 A couple of minutes of the most intense rain I've seen in a long while.

 No leaks.

Back to the wind.

Possibly 70kph-90kph gusts

SUNSHINE COAST. RIDE ON

 Like many place that I have cycled that has some sort of connotation of "coast" in the name, here there is pretty much one road going in only two directions.

Or is it four?

UP and DOWN.

I was getting a little disgruntled. 
Up to now I've been relatively gruntled.

Canada's longest hut to hut trail.

Asked some guy if the huts serve:

Schnitzels? No

Gulasha Soupe with crusty bread? No

Strudel?. No

Sorry Canada

Austria wins.

HEADING TO HORNBY ISLAND.

 Rolled out of Nanaimo this morning.

Was planning on leaving a little left for the next day but next thing (five saddle hours and ninety kilometres later) rolled into the small Denman Island ferry port of Buckley Bay.

 Took full advantage for an overnight at the highway "rest" stop.

Ferry view and sunrise included.

 After my first week, nicest, clearest day by far.

Nice day for a bike ride.

 After ferrying to and cycling across Denman Island, here's the sailing to Hornby Island.

Tribune Bay(s).

 Spent three days with a pleasant mix of enjoying the islands's solitude and part of J & C's social scene.

 Parting breakfast of Salmon eggs benny.

Awesome as always.

Nice to have John ride with me all the way to Denman Island.

Now back to Vancouver Island and then to the Sunshine Coast.
