MELK, AUSTRIA................GOING TO; PART ONE

We are finding at some of our accommodations a touring traffic jam at the end and beginning of our days. Fun trading stories.(some true, some ....)

It was once written:

"A rest day in Melk awaits, offering a peaceful break from cycling through the Danube Valley. Nestled by the river, the town is renowned for its stunning Benedictine Abbey, perched on a hill with panoramic views. Wander through the halls of Melk Abbey, stroll through the quaint, cobbled streets, enjoy a leisurely lunch

at a local cafĂ©, or relax along the riverbank. The day provides time to recharge, explore Melk’s charming Baroque architecture, and soak in the town’s rich history before continuing the journey.

.......well, why are we standing.....

Well, this will get us half way of a total of sixty kilometres today. Hope you've been enjoying our journey as much as we have been sharing it with you.
We ride knowing how many of you join us in spirit which makes any adventure so much more enjoyable.
There`s a second half of this ride coming and then you have to see the amazing village of Melk with us.
(Rick Steves was there)
