PASSAU, GERMANY TO VIENNA, AUSTRIA. TAG ONE.

I`m thrilled on more than a couple counts, (less explaining) that we couldn`t have ordered better weather for our first day of about forty kilometres. Lots more later but we will be joined on route with a large contingent of fellow cycle tourists riding what is the most famous portion of the entire Danube River cycle route.

(If we forget to stop in Vienna, come looking for us at the Black Sea)

With cycle paths on both shores of the Danube, we won`t be taking this one, but there are numerous ferry services that aid any combination of routes.

There will always be some small hills and interruptions but at least psychology, in our legs,  is that we are going DOWN the river.

No doubt that a good part of the fun is who we will meet and........

There is no shortage of places catering to hungry cyclist. Here we randomly stop at a rather informal looking place and are served a lunch that could be found at any fine diner.

With flower garnishing, fresh produce,..........everything was amazing............
