CYCLING ONTARIO- CYCLING HOME

(This the tail end of a fragmented cycling tour I just finished. Front end story next.)

SUNDAY, JULY 28, 2013

While trying to make it home on Saturday, I got caught in some rather wet summer weather and ended  up in Burlington for the night. Couldn't have planned a nicer day on Sunday for the ride home.

What do you get for $50 bucks a night? You have to guess where you stayed.
Weekly? One night was fine. Thank you.

Rode part way home on Burlington's portion of the Lakeside trail.

 Keepin' Classy

Haven't seen the peninsula this green and lush in July for years. Rode some lane ways where the cornfields (stalks over 6ft tall) on the sides already made it feel like a maze.

I will next post my recent bike tour of Muskoka.
I wasn't home in Ridgeville for twenty minutes when some Kilman wildlife past by.

NICOLA NEMY, TORONTO, MEC 10K, RIDIN' n RUNNIN' n RIIDIN n......

After dropping the Escape off at 33 H SQ, I planned on cycling home to Niagara. On the the way I stopped by the waterfront to see what Nicola was up to.
 I found her:

"Gettin busy livin' and dyin' all in the same hour"

It was this gentleman's singlet that reminded me of one of Canada's many famously forgotten athletes.
Brantford Six Nation Reserve's
Tom Longboat
"Wildfire"
A seemingly unbeatable long distance runner in the VERY early 1900's.

 Nicola's
"Cabbagetown Blue Bonnet"
flyer.

5217 ready to ride after a quick pit stop for some air.
That's tire air. Not the medical emergency air some need at 15ft above sea level after some exercise.
Nice shoes!

 Jasper.

Going home. Or at least part way.

BAYFIELD INLET, PAUL MANSFIELD, CLAIRE MANSFIELD, NICOLA NEMY - ARE THESE NOT ISLAND PEOPLE?

What am I looking at?

 Havin' fun?

You all come back now.
