Wednesday, February 18
Other than a number of rewarding risings during the night to stoke the fire, we are happy to be back for another winter adventure.
With a morning's agenda of some organising and adventuring outside in some pretty cold temps, anything and everything goes for breakfast.
Cream of wheat, peaches, maple syrup....
Dr. Oz said it's good to eat nuts.
Cant figure out if the salami is good till Feb 15, 2016 or Feb 16, 2015.
More power Scotti???
No. We are good. Thanks goodness our ground mount array is cranking because otherwise I would would be roof bound to dig out the top mount.
Now lets see if we can get to the Koop.
The knee dip snow is about as much as we've seen here.
This was from home.
Hoot.
Lets go exploring!
To Kate's back is our island. Cottage point. Perhaps one day.
The cabin is more mid island.
Looks like we had a drive sled by.
On the horizon is Georgian Bay.
Looking the other way down the channel we get a partial look at the Leslie's new cottage.
Hoping in between tomorrow's bitter cold forecast we will pop down for a neighbour watch (gawk).
Make sure a moose hasn't moved in.
CROCNESS MONSTER
Carefully we will walk a couple hundred metres off shore to the local noted shoals, The Brothers and Sisters. A series of most often submerged rocks requiring deft nautical navigation of thread the needle.
The shoals have seemed to provide a breaker of sorts for once loose ice and snow to start mounding.
YYYYYYYYYMMMMM, MOUNDING.
Here I am on top of approx five metres of Georgian Bay on top of what might be anywhere from one to two metres of summer waters.
YYYYYYYMMMMM, SUMMER WATERS
Ring around the Sun? Can't remember if that means "Everyone out of the Pool" or " That there will still be one more Christmas with the California Prunes"?
Live dangerously. Pass on the starboard side.
Back and the heat is on.
Back and the heat is on.
Listening to the mothership CBC |
Curtain Call.
Hate those nosey wolve neighbours.
