BAYFIELD INLET ICE HIKERS - SEASON 2015

EPISODE THREE
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2015

Here we will post some random images from our third day. Later we will bundle up and go exploring. The minus 25c has us taking our time. With fire on, the cabin is much to cosy to have us rush off.

Theres something about the crackle of the fire and the puttering and smell of the coffee pot that takes a lot to beat.
 Coffee, book and bed.

With this COLD snap, in between stokeings of the stove during the night it can dip to single digits temps.
But now it's safe to come out Kate.

 House of Throne

 SHIT. ITS COLD.

Our ground solar array is providing us with enough juice for our stay.

Roof array needs a little shovelling which we will leave to Mother Solar.

Trappers breakfast. Ham and biscuits.
It is not moose. Or is it?

Here on the map of Bayfield Inlet we show our jumping off point of Thompson Marine.
About eight kilometres of various states of water to Island D40

Our outer island location offers us four seasons of spectacular vistas.
Well sheltered channel for passage to and from.
Miles of sheltered nooks and crannies to the east for exploring.
To the west wild Georgian Bay scenes and scenery off our point for endless viewing.
Come and see a sunset. You will never forget it.

There is somewhere right here our swim dock. Encased till warmer times.
Kate inspects the diving board.

Our two hundred and fifty square feet of Canadiana.

NEXT - STAYED TUNED FOR SOME QUESTING. THE ICE ROAD TO VICTORY.
