NEMY COTTAGE. BAYFIELD INLET, ONTARIO, CANADA

East elevation with our bedroom patio door on the right. The combination wash house, with window, and small mechanical/storage on the left end of a covered deck.

Before and after shot.
This will be our view from the bed.
Before and after my nap.

The bay end.

Swim dock with the bay off in the distance.
(There's a street in Toronto thats called "Bayview".
You are NO Bayview Sir!

This is a Bayview!

After many years of exploration from both the financial  and regulatory aspect (old cottage/new cottage) of what we might build, I'm pleased that we've ended up with a rather simple design, for its not the building thats featured here, but what we will look upon.

We first shape our buildings,
Then the building shape us.
Sir winston Churchill

Kate and I have been truly enjoying ourselves(lots of fires in the cabin) as we organise and wait to welcome our trades back.
Still a little framing and carpentry to complete.
The electricians have been on site and ready for a complete solar based 12/24V/120V installation.
Our contractor will put on his plumbers hat and start hooking up our sinks, shower,... to our soon to be installed gray water system.
Add to it all the soon to be delivered propane cook stove/oven, new refrigerator, wood burning cook stove/oven,......,
we haven't been this excited since we were gifted free membership to the
Radio Shack Battery club.

Beginnings of our kitchen. A still to be framed wall will eliminate this view from the guest, (yup, that's you!) bedroom.

The smaller windows will offer views from the eating area.
Should note that we still have some trapezoid windows to order for the gable ends.

Again from our bedroom looking down the channel to Mary Ann's place.

 Bye for now.

Editor's note: At this seemingly new phase in our daily life, I have decide to bring "going over niagara paul's" along with it. New will be a guaranty that 75% (up from 60%) of the content will be true, now get this,
100% OF THE TIME
