BEAVER MOUNTAIN, UTAH. USA

What a way to start wrapping up things before heading home. We’ve started heading east and just before leaving Utah and into Wyoming we’ve stopped at Beaver Mountain Resort. The loads of fresh snow, blue sky, friendly folk gives one ample opportunity on the “Old school” lifts to take it all in.

Beaver Mountain will be our seventh mountain we've visited since starting out at Arizona Snowbowl.
We will tap out at eight, missing our scheduled nine after having to earlier scratch Eagle Mountain because of.....................
too much snow.

MY FAV LIFTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No reason why they don`t have the fun and friendly down pat as Beaver Mountain resort is the oldest family owned ski hill in the USA. Who wouldn’t want to ski at a place that was started in the 40`s by some Swiss dude named Seeholzer.

Snow everywhere.
Pretty much a record snowfall in all of Utah.
Some resorts hitting seven hundred plus inches.
(and counting)

CHERRY PEAK RESORT, UTAH. USA

We’ve gone from one of the largest Ski resorts in North America to one of the smallest in Utah. Small in size but big in personality of a hill for the locals.

I’ve tried to avoid skiing on weekends but took a chance on a Sunday at Cherry Peak. Glad we did. What it lacked in lifts and all was easily made up in it being just a fun three hours of sliding around.

Almost wished there were a few more people here to share some lifts stories.

Kate found some great snowshoeing in the adjoining valley.

Kate heading off snowshoeing.

Crazy how far you can see,
snow.

Idaho in the distance.

Felt like I had my own personal Lifty.

POWDER MOUNTAIN WINTER RESORT, EDEN. UTAH. USA

With a somewhat set calendar pretty much centred around some hills that are only open on weekends, we have to take whatever weather we get and here at Powder Mountain Winter Resort we wouldn’t have asked for anything more. So grateful for the beautiful bluebird and just cold enough to hold some great snow.
On top of it all, VERY well warranted, we’ve been warned to not dare travel here if the road was remotely snowy. As I cyclist I respect six degree climb, but sixteen!!!!!!!

By skiable acres,
largest ski resort in North America.
(you could ski half way down to the valley where a circulating bus would pick you up)

Avalanche rescue.
Possibly one busy pooch this year.

Snow in every direction as far as one can see.
Over thirty five feet of snowfall,
so far.

Kate's off trying to find the Hidden Lake.
