Now closing in on our first full week in CO., today we will slightly backtrack up the valley from our Breckenridge base and do Keystone.
Kate to the Nordic centre and I will hit some hills.
Looks like you can ski right into Dillon Lake.
Breckenridge Resort.
The place to go at Keystone is the Outback.
Ample snow for late November but still leaving a little bit to be desired and not quite enough to get the cats out. Close.
Things that go bumpity bump in the day?
Me!!
Most of the places we have been over the past week have the resort and base elevation around 9,000 ft above sea level. The lifts have me topping out around 11,500. When these places are fully open you can add another 1,000+ ft. up. Getting high.
Where???
Closing in on the eve of what is perhaps one of USA's most celebrated holidays,
Thanksgiving, will see the crowds building at some of these larger resorts.
Time to head off the beaten track.
Eureka!!
Here they are mining and found the credit card motherlode.
After a great day of snowshoeing and cross country, isn't there anything better than a coffee, a couch and perhaps a classic.
What?
Tomorrow, Thanksgiving, will be a transfer day for us. We start heading south to Leadville and hopefully a little bit more snow.
