Like millions of Americans we will travel this day. Not far mind you and thank goodness not to see family. We will pull up stakes from our Breckenridge camp and head to Leadville.
Here we pass through Frisco. A nice service town to the local tourist industry.
Last night in Breck we did the Lost Cajun. In town this morning we find the owner filling Thanksgiving orders of deep fried turkeys.
He was very friendly to us, offering eating advice for us down the road.
South of Copper Mountain and the I-70 we cross the Fremont Pass.
At one time there was a more than thriving mining town here.
The mine still in the production of moly......
The moly part of chrome moly and more.
If it looks cold and forlorning, well.....
Home for a couple of nights.
Leadville, Colorado
What would Thanksgiving be without some pie.
I know, where's the topping?
Here we plan on heading to the Tennessee Pass where we hope to find Cooper Ski and some cross country and maybe some fresh snow.
