Never really heard of Ischgl before John and Carol invited us along for the pre family week of skiing.
Lets do a quick fly by
On our day of arrival we were greeted by wet snow. Welcomed on soon to be groomed pistes but a little troublesome most elsewhere. What did freeze will prove to be difficult off piste skiing and what didn't had a tendency to slide down the mountain sides.
This view is from John and Carol's place in town.
Our place was just on the edge. Top right hand building. Affording us with a great view and still a convenient walk into town and lifts.
This slide in the distance was not far from our back door.
(Glad it wasn't closer because we didn't have a front door to let the snow out)

Our Davos- Lais
I didn't long for home with our boot drying/ski storage smelling like a good old Canadian hockey dressing room.
Mostly invisible from town is one of the largest ski areas I have ever visited.
John and Carol guessed that it is possibly 5-6-7 (or more) times larger in area than Whistler/Blackcoomb.
