AUYUITTUQ NATIONAL PARK 1981. EXPLORING THE NORTH SIDE OF SUMMIT LAKE CAMP. POST 13 OF 19

Met a couple of climbers who just tramping around the area for a couple of days.


Looking south and down. To the left at the crook of Summit Lake is a tiny orange speck of a shelter and my tent.
Hows that for a moraine and a receding glacier.

Can you picture the glacier that left this moraine.
Even with the last ice age being ten thousand years ago, it's pretty hard not to notice that this:
"Land that never Melts"
is changing.
Even here being 1981, not going anywhere near the topic of climate change and.......
