BAYFIELD INLET, BRITT, ONTARIO - PLEASE BLACK BEAR WITH ME & KATE

Back in June Kate and I did a little overnight bike tour. We rode from our marina at Bayfield Inlet north to the once prominent lumber city and now quiet cottage town of Britt.

Most of our route had us on our usual quiet access road of Hwy 529.
In order to get to Britt we had to do a short section of the Trans Canada, Hwy 69/400

Please and thank you for sharing to road.

Make sure we turn before we in up in Vancouver

 Indian reservation country.
Need some smokes?

On our return back, we stop in the even more so abandon ex lumber city of Byng Inlet

Here was the welcome committee. As we quietly rode along we all of a sudden heard some rustling in the bushes. I don't know who was more SURPRISED but two fairly mature bears popped out right beside us. One immediately  headed back into the bush. We stopped and this one scampered up the road a bit. Stopped. Here we were already in bear action mode. We have started to walk backwards calmly making no eye contact. It wasn't long before he lost interest in us and lumbered off.

 Hey BOO BOO
