Today we are on our way to Argentina to fill a week before our Torres del Paine trek. We are heading to El Calafate for a night and then jump right up to El Chalten where we will head to the hills.
Reading this rainbow that our bus is near.
In this day and age of heightened "Border Security", even with a little hate on between Chile and Argentina, here we will cross at a bit of a frontier post.
You may pass.
Right from the beginning of our travels, the bus system is proving to be both efficient and comfortable.
Over the next couple of days we will pass into El Calafate and to El Chalten through endless kilometres of the Patagonian desert.
The fourth largest desert in the world.
A strange and startling contrast that two of our mountain destinations will climb just from the edges.
El Calafate, Argentina.
Hostal Rukahue.
We're off to El Chalten, Argentina tomorrow.
On the rebound we will do a little more exploring of the town.
Tomorrow: Shine and rise.
