WELLS GRAY ADVENTURES, HUT TO HUT HIKING - 12th Grade of WellSS

AUGUST, 2014
DAY SIX
FIGHT MEADOW CHALET

TBIF
To Bad It's Friday.
Only one day left.

The group conscience today is to forgo the rainy forecast and head out on a modified day hike.
Battling Battle Mountain will be for another day.
With a high and dry cabin to return to, all the more reason to explore some geography and enjoy the rain.

Kate and I have always enjoyed a little weather.
Yesterday maybe not so much.

Misty mountain
Clouds in the sky
Without warning
Some hikers pass by.

Today we will pass evidence that this park was born of volcanoes.
Recent by geological history, there were eruptions in this area just four hundred years ago.

Before I got to know "glad" Andrea,
I took her for:

"A riddle, wrapped up in an enigma,
wrapped up in a garbage bag"

Pumice Field

Here Christine is going to press a piece the size of a small child.

That's fine for now.
Headin' back for some hot tea and...............

BOOYAH

Hoping that the perpetual food flow here won't trigger a habit that I just broke at home,
eating in the shower.
