Keeping an eye on the ice for a possible winter trek into the cabin. Reports are the channel is ice covered. Past hikes in have been at times when almost all of Georgian Bay had been ice covered, aiding in a solid water route to the island. Ice thickness is a game of unpredictability and often a result of random variables.
It has been COLD and thats all that one can patiently ask from Mother Nature.
